cut|splice is focused on making great moving pictures using - cut|splice principal Michael David Thomson has worked with many major film and television companies in both the UK and USA. In the past he directed and edited projects for clients including JWT, Saatchi and Saatchi, EuroRSCG, IFC, Merchant Ivory Productions, Endemol and BBC Worldwide. In video game advertising he brings particular expertise having created multi-platform video campaigns for Triple A class titles from companies such as Rockstar Games, Sony Computer Entertainment, Atari, Take2 Interactive and SEGA. - With video game projects, cut|splice often takes the campaign from concept to broadcast, creating every shot from the game engine itself. In physical production, we are very comfortable with the latest technology and employ the smallest, lightest equipment appropriate to a shoot, no matter how unconventional. Whether using HDSLR cameras to film ads for the internet, or RED cameras to shoot football matches for the big screen the philosophy is the same: make the technology of filmmaking disappear to focus on impressing the audience. - cut|splice still cuts most work in a traditional suite, however an independent HD edit suite can be set up within hours at any location: be it an office, a set, or a luxury hotel suite by the pool (our preferred option, of course). cut|splice can adapt an independent edit to most locations from a small laptop based mobile system to a cinema sized projector suite. cut|splice backs all independent edits based in London with the full HD facilities of CrowTV in Shepherds Bush, one of London’s largest post-production facilities. |
